The officer merely nodded when he gestured to the seat when she saw Briar gesturing to it, carefully setting herself down on it while trying to hold back a yawn. Today had been exhausting day for her. Pretty much all of her energy had been used for this one mission she had been sent to with her group of officers. She needed something to restore it, give her a little boost. And what Briar did next would give her the opportunity to do that. Ria twitched her ears out of habit before she picked up the menu with her hands and began to look through it, see what the place had to offer. She could pick up the ereader later.
“Yeah... a glass of chocolate milk would be nice, thanks.” Anything with sweets in it always seemed to give her a bit of her energy back, as oddly as it sounded. “And, uh, how have things been going since I was last here?”

“Oh, okay!” Teddie said, taking his hand back. He’d been warned of this, after all - culture shock. He knew he had to be careful when he heard about that, since he was weak to electricity.
“I’m Teddie,” he said. His bear ears twitched as he spoke and his eyes closed shut as he smiled. There was a real boy underneath the costume - a ‘handsome prince’, he was eager to call himself - but his bear body was much more expressive than natural fabric. “Are there any other cultural things I need to know? I’m from somewhere else too!”

“Excuse me.” A hand gives Briar’s shoulder a brief shake. “I couldn't help but to notice your plant is in poor condition, I think I can help you.” The markazian couldn't help but to jump into action whenever the well being of a plant was on the line, especially when the employees of a plant supply store were neglecting to assist people. “One of my plants recently had a bad case of fungus like that, I’ve got some medicine back at my lab that will clear it up.”
"Do you know the language of flowers, my dear?" he finally breaks the silence, observing her tend to the flora with mild interest. While he did not have an avid interest in the craft, it did make for decent smalltalk.

“Um...” Ash not-so-subtly kicked a wooden bat away from the pair of them as he straightened up. “I’m sure it was an honest mistake, whoever it was,” He said, never being one for accountability. But once he’d decided that Briar was okay, he wasted no time in showing off. He held out a hand and played a short holo-clip of the man hitting the ground, “You’ve got to admit it was kinda funny, though. Look at you go!”
