New Year, New clothes - part 2

Cha Taehyun and Kim Junho were definitely the most creative duo !!! Too bad for them it wasn’t a competition because they would have won hands down… and the funny thing is that without planning with each other, they both managed to have a dual concept :

Kim Junho imagined a “Goblin” inspired outfit for Taehyun but the twist was the hidden suit!! It was Cha Goblin in the front and full frontal sexyness in the back, or as I’d like to call it, outward Gong Yoo, inner Justin Timberlake XD

And contrary to what it looks like, Junho’s costume is the most refined and also the hardest to understand if you don’t have a context to go with it. The name of his outfit is “토닭토닭” which interestingly enough is apparently the name of quite a few fried chicken places in Seoul (I’ve looked it up hehe).

Anyway, first you need to know that Junho was born on the year of the Rabbit (his chinese zodiac) and 2017 is the year of the chicken/rooster. Rabbit in korean is “토끼” and chicken is “닭”. So basically, the name of his costume is made up of the first syllables of each zodiac sign. It would be like saying he’s a chicken-rabbit (and not a pig-rabbit like in “You’re beautifull”! Rings a bell anyone? Ok that was way back in 2009, you’ll be forgiven if you don’t know what I’m talking about ^^).

BUT! You may have also noticed the ginormous hand attached to his shoulder and thought “what the heck is that??” Well from what I’ve gathered, “토닭토닭” is also a korean expression used in mangas and the like to transcribe the sound of someone patting your head/shoulder to encourage or praise you. So he’s both a weird animal composite and an onomatopoeia. How cool is that ????!!!!!!
