[ID: A cropped side profile photograph of an Old German Owl Pigeon, a type of fancy pigeon, which perches in a coop on a branch of natural wood. It has a predominantly white head (with a small crest) and body, a light pink beak, dark eyes, and a light grey wing with three distinct, dark bars. There is a small yellow ID tag on its leg. It is sitting comfortably, feathers slightly fluffed, seemingly indifferent to the photographer. End ID]
Seagull (30/04/22) Day One in the “quarantine” coop. Gentle and shy, cautiously eats from my hand, and likes to sleep on the highest perch in the coop (probably because her sister pushes her off all the other perches). Spent last night in the food bowl rather than in a nest, apparently corn more comfortable than sticks and straw.
I love him. He eats my earphone cord. #pigeonblogging #doves

[ID. A side profile photograph of a fancy pigeon with a white head and body, speckled grey wings, and a small crest. It sits with its legs drawn into its body on a square perch, with its wings held so loosely that they rest on the perch too. It is very fluffy, and it appears deeply relaxed. End ID]
Day Five in the quarantine coop. Loft Actual has landed and is ready to be assembled. it will be a 200cmDx145cmWx175cmH aviary mesh and fir coop with a wire bottom buried in a mix of sand and dolomite lime, and a sloped roof. it will be modified over time for both comfort and enrichment.
[ID: A series of photographs of a pair of fancy pigeons bathing and roosting in a patterned green cereal bowl. The bowl is set on a striped tea towel within a black wire coop. The coop is lined with a white material and variously included in the pictures are a yellow food and grit bowl, a round mirror with a black frame, fluted jars of water, and scattered straw. The background of the images is a kitchen. End ID]
Day Four. we are making bird soup, it looks delicious. unlike perches, they are happy to share the soup bowl, which is a mystery. idiot dumplings. floof stock.
[ID: a photograph of two fancy pigeons with white bodies and heads, grey wings, and small crests. They stand comfortably on various perches within a black wire coop. The background is the inside of a living room. End ID]
Day Three. birb photography is getting better, I think. The pidges have conspired to poop in one spot apparently (making a fortress?) Seagull accidentally landed on Sparrow today when startled up from the floor and just… stood there. pidge stack. Sparrow did not respond with aviacide, so they might be starting to enjoy each other’s company. Today at the loft there’s lots of grooming, snoozing, and standing on one leg.
