$$$ probably! You need to bleach atleast twice, potentially three times. I would recommend using splat bleach (for the good conditioner. And leaving it in, nothing gets me as light as this does, with no breakage.) + manic panic's Blue Steel dye.

I know a few places that do free consultations so I’ll find out if it would be prohibitively expensive, otherwise I will maybe try it myself

ah I bet violet hair looked excellent on you! I'd say silver because I'm a doofus who likes my own hair color. (My hair is dark though, light silver would be very cool.)
