Hands reached up to his own face, stroking it gently, rubbing at his pained and stinging cheek. He wasn’t sure how to react, really – it hurt, though. Who had even done that? What a jerk!

“Hey!! What was that for?!” 

He hadn’t done anything particularly bad right now, so why was he being slapped for no reason?! Somebody very clearly had no manners whatsoever, and he’d get back at them–
