pulse weakens as blood is siphoned from the puncture wounds of the person’s neck, and it is a sensation which excites the girl almost as much as the RUSH from the blood. she drinks, and is merry. all the while, she makes sure to not go too far --- she doesn’t want to KILL them; not yet, anyhow. mind RACES with insidious thoughts of what she will do after, when all the blood is gone. hands morph as sharp, wolfen claws punctuate her fingers. they DIG into the unsuspecting human’s shoulders as she takes, and takes, and takes without mercy, without compunction, a shred of remorse. a stirring alerts her that she is no longer ALONE. fangs retract from their meal, hissing as she realized her feeding would have to cease, if only just for a moment. snarling, she turns to meet the brunette’s gaze. eyes DANCE as crimson and gold merge in a hellish combination. “---can i help you?” her tone is thick of the swamp, and its all too telling that she is irritated.

new   arrivals   in   riverdale   are   always   the   novelty.   he   hadn't   seen   the   new   arrival   just   yet,   until   now.   and   he   is   with   the   rest   of   the   team   of   the   bulldogs   having   a   celebratory   dinner   after   a   match.   and   all   their   eyes   are   on   the   new   woman   in   town.   be   it   his   luck,   reggie   pushes   him   over   to   the   counter   of   the   diner,   waving   Pop   before   finding   words   to   say.   uh. "you   should   try   the   strawberry   milkshake.   it's   very   good.   so   are   the   burgers."   oh   that's   so   lame,   archie.

a   fun   night   of   drinking   in   a   bar   with   friends.   if   he   could   call   them   that.   all   descendants   of   the   most   important   families   of   the   city   and   they   are   curious   about   stefan   as   well,   as   the   new   old   arrival.   new   face,   old   name.   salvatore,   his   family   crest   shines   proud   by   his   daylight   ring.   but   the   boys   speak   loud   and   whistle,   energetically   patting   his   back   as   they   comment   of   a   girl   staring   at   him.   "ragazzi,   basta,loro   sono   pazzi."   but   he   turns   and   there   she   is,   wicked   smile,   perfect   curls   and   ready   to   turn   his   world   upside   down.   "ah.   si   la   conosco,   escusa."   and   he   picks   up   his   drink,   leaving   them   to   chat   away   the   mystery   and   move   toward   the   corner   of   the   bar   where   she   was   hiding.   "katherine.   .   .are   you   stalking   me   already?   I   thought   you   were   over   that."

      The brunette vampire looked like serious business, and Riley had no doubt that she could decapitate him before he could blink. Yet despite the very real danger that he found himself in, the hunter smiled and took another languid sip of his beer as though he didn’t have a care in the world. The bar was crowded, too many potential witnesses if she decided to ‘vamp-out’, so he felt at ease for the time being.  ❝ I never lie if I can help it, ❞ he answered with a smug smirk over his features –– one that belied any actual truth in the words. Giving away how much he knew about vampires, and specifically Katherine Pierce, wouldn’t do him any favors. He needed to lay low ; appear like the unassuming, ignorant human who had seen Blade one too many times.  ❝ I’m serious ! ❞ he added with a genial laugh.  ❝ You can’t tell me that you don’t think somethin’ funky’s goin’ on in this city. Disappearances, sketchy-ass murders ––  You mark my words : there’s somethin’ here and it ain’t human. ❞

    ❝ i did. hope that’s okay? ❞ he offers her a smile, placing both plates down onto the counter before he finds the syrup and places it next to them. he grabs the bacon off the side then, glancing back toward her as he rolls his shoulders in a light shrug.  ❝ figured that you might be hungry. ❞ she’d looked really peaceful when he’d woken up, so he hadn’t wanted to wake her right away-- hence the breakfast.
