Hi! I have a suggestion about scoring:
Could poetry and lyrics be scored differently than fic writing? Sure, it's made of words, but it's a very different process, and expressing ideas with a wordcount as low as possible is... kind of the point a lot of the time.
Could we just score them per piece, like visual art and other crafts - possibly with similar tiers corresponding to length? Or per line/verse?
Thank you for your patience as we nail down our new poetry scoring guidelines! We agree with your point that sometimes minimal word counts are a major intention in poetry and we want to honor the creativity of that medium. With this in mind:
-poetry will receive a base score of 0.1% per piece, rather than the original metric of 0.1% per 100 words.
-poems that are 10 lines or more will receive an additional 0.1% bonus per every ten lines. For example, a poem that is twenty lines long would receive a total of 0.3%, with a 0.1% base rate and two 0.1% bonuses for groups of ten additional lines.
PLEASE NOTE: these bonuses will not be applicable to poems blatantly trying to fish for the most points, such as a poem where each word is a new line. While this is a completely valid format for poetry, this would become very easily exploitable for point-maxing! Please create something you are proud of as a fanwork first and let the points come secondary to that 💜 We love seeing everyone’s creative works and want to see passion and fun rather than quick low effort attempts to grab as many points as possible.
We will work with this scoring system for this round and the next round of steals. If we find that it’s still not working for our poets, we will reassess and tweak it as needed! Thank you for your patience, and thank you again for reaching out with this feedback!

What is it that you want to be doing instead?
Walk the dogs, clean my room, read...
But as it is. The spirit is willing but the body is weak. Ugh.

Consider this: time enjoyed is not time wasted, chill in bed all u want, you’re on vacation
I couldn’t ever adopt this mindset. (also, never said I enjoyed it....)
also, some time ago I’ve realized that I had been very flawed to believe that free time equals any time spent outside of school. As if there weren’t other duties. Nobody had explained this to me as a kid. Fighting old habits now is troublesome.

I WANT TO GIVE ALL THE WORDS BORROWED FROM ENGLISH BACK SO THAT ENGLISH WILL USE THE POLONIZED VERSIONS
