Pikachu Headcanons
Most Pikachu like to be held and carried, and are fairly hands-on with their trainer, but they don’t like their cheeks to be messed with. The electrical sacs their cheeks contain are very sensitive, and they can end up accidentally shocking their trainer if touched.
Another one of their weak spots would be their tail. Most Pikachu hate having their tail pulled, as it’s thunder-shaped spine is contained in it’s flat tail. Their tails also serve as a lightning rod, taking and releasing extra electric energy from them.
On the subject of shocking their trainer, Pikachu’s electricity can also be generated by their emotions. A frustrated or angry Pikachu may unintentionally let out some static electricity, which can lead to harming their companions.
Pikachu are naturally energetic and curious, their electric typing making this a given. Be expected to start chasing your electrical mouse if it hears something, because these social Pokémon love to investigate.
A sad Pikachu’s cheeks might get noticeably duller, with less electricity going through it. When Pikachu are sad, the best thing to do would be to give them attention and affection, as they tend to like being the star of the show. A happy Pikachu may give small, harmless zaps, and might become playful.
Give your Pikachu lots of attention and don’t touch it’s cheeks too much, and you’re sure to have a friend for life.
