(Pikafe: Pikkan > Latte): "Hey, you grew up mostly in that Mystery Dungeon, right? Cut off from the rest of the world?" The Pikachu took a looooong sip of his [JUICE]. "Weird that you're named after a cafe special drink, Latte."

Latte: In mystery dungeons, I mean. People like to say ‘survival of the fittest’, and that’s truly what it’s like having been born in a dungeon. The terrain changes without warning, what was an exit or entrance is suddenly a river or sheer rock wall. You can’t exactly build anything in conditions like that. Not to say that there AREN’T places like Treasure Town in mystery dungeons, mind you. They’re just few and far between-and even MORE hostile than your average feral mon, believe it or not.

A-ah.... I sort of derailed a bit there, didn’t I? I chose the name when I met Mew, I didn’t even know he WAS Mew at the time.

Latte: Looking back on it it’s pretty silly to have named myself after the first ‘civilized’ food I ever had, but I’ve been going by ‘Latte’ for so long now I don’t think I’d have it any other way, honestly.

“It’s really tough going from the high octane fights and training sessions and wandering the region to just sitting around and waiting for something to happen.  I’m sure all of us would love to go back to the League if we could, but it’s really up to Mom whether or not we do.  Also thanks for the sweets, I’ll make sure to share them with everyone.”
