Maverick was not the sort to follow stereotypes. Especially not ‘old man’ stereotypes. However, he was the sort to sit in a park on a decent day and possibly eavesdrop. This particular day was not as satisfying as they once were. More often than not, he found information via the web and arranged meetings. Every now and then, he could find something of a lead just by eavesdropping. Perhaps today would be his lucky day, perhaps it would not. He sat alone on the bench, a paperback book with its cover and pages bent to wrap along the spine, so that he could read one-handed. The other hand lazily threw birdseed, which attracted a variety of birds, often attacked by pigeons.

Jaymes ran out out of the studio in a hurry. She was still in her workout clothes from which was not exactly prime for running through London. But she had an audition soon and if she didn’t hurry she’d be late and miss out on an opportunity.
