Witch tip: Sleeping mist 🌜

As someone who suffers from sleep disorders but can't get diagnosed (tmi) I find this really helps me drift off at night!

I use a chamomile and lavender infusion, which a lot of company's mass produce so if you don't want to make it you can just buy it!

I use vodka (roughly 3tsps), 8 drops of chamomile essence and 8 drops of lavender oil. Stir that into boiled water (that's gone cold, obviously) and I repurposed a little spray bottle I had in my bathroom.

I spray 4-5 sprays across my pillows on nights that I feel are going to be hard and let the scents wash over me 🌜🌿❤️

NB: obviously not a guaranteed sleep-enhancer, you have to find what works for you! If you suffer from serious sleep disorders please seek the advice of a medical professional.

I’ve Been Having Trouble Sleeping

So I’ve been having trouble sleeping at night. The cause of this being my anxiety. Starting college a few weeks ago has brought with it many sleepless nights. Many times that I have fallen asleep I’ve had nightmares. I wasn’t a deep sleeper anymore and I was actually terrified to go to sleep.

All of this was caused by me having GAD: General Anxiety Disorder. I was recently diagnosed a couple months ago. However, I have been living with this mental illness my entire life. My fears are often irrational. I’ve never sleep walked before but suddenly I have gained the fear of hurting my family in my sleep. (I’m living with my aunt, my uncle and their two kids during the Summer B Semester.) I’m scared that if I fall asleep I might not wake up.

When I told my aunt that I was having trouble sleeping she suggested I try her pillow mist. And last night was the first normal night sleep I had since moving out of my house. I’ve become a deep sleeper again and I feel relaxed as I drift off. I would recommend this to anyone that can’t sleep because of their anxiety.

You can find it online and in stores. It’s by Bath & Body Works and costs $12.50. It comes in both eucalyptus spearmint and eucalyptus tea. I use the eucalyptus spearmint which has 5/5 stars on their website.
