I 100% agree!!! I immediately thought of astrology and cancer, the sign ruled by the moon. So I made a little tiny Ceres, a comet (or asteroid?) Named after the goddess and associated with the sign cancer (according to my astrology books). This prompt was great!

Gradblr Challenge: apparently I got sick without realizing it. I’m trying to get things all cleaned up before the semester starts, both physically and in an academic sense. In case you were curious, running a fever when you don’t have central AC in August sucks. Not pictured: the other 7 bags of pens that are at my desk instead of my work table. (Side note: if you are in Houston go see the Cabinet of Curiosities exhibit at the #hmns. Amazing interactive display modeled after early precursors to modern museums to teach the history of museums.)

Anyway, Inktober 29 was United and this was the most interesting thing I could think of to draw. I didn’t want to lose any of the line quality or details so I left the original lines untouched by the Pentel brush pen I’d been using. There something about overly literal depictions of fantastic literary imagery that appeals to me… - - - Late posting the remainder of my Inktober 2017 entries since I finished mostly on time but haven’t had time to post until now…
