Pin 4: Happy (almost a month late) Valentine's Day!
Pin #4: http://pinterest.com/pin/270567890084991736 (Tumblr changed things on me and now I can't make my link say "Superhero Pops!" like I wanted.)
I know that I am SUPER late on getting this posted. I'll apologize now for some of the picture quality. They were taking on my phone at night time, and I'm blind without my contacts. :D
I knew that I wanted to make Valentine's for Dominic's class this year instead of buying them. I found some ideas on Pinterest and asked him which ones he liked most. He chose these ones. :)
Supplies
Superhero Printables - (There is a link to get these FREE in the pin!)
Stiff Felt - Found at Michael's for about a $1 each. If you do it right you can fit like 10 or 11 per piece of felt.
Hole punch
2" paper punch - I found one at Michael's. You could also use scissors but I didn't think I would be able to cut them out in a good circle. And now I have a 2" paper punch. :)
Coordinating ribbon
Lollypops (Following the recommendation, we used tootsie pops because of the nice colors that coordinate well!)
Glue (Hot or craft - we used a craft glue)
Cape template
I would start out by cutting out your template for the capes. I used a box that we had used from dinner to draw one and cut it out. I took a couple trys but I got one that worked well.
The next thing I did was cut out the capes out of our felt that we needed. (We did all red for the girls since it is Wonder Woman! We had 11 red, and then 4 of blue, green, and black for the boys!)
Once I got the cape cut out, I passed it to my little helper who did the whole punches at the pop of the cape for them to slide on the pop!
Once that was done then we printed out the FREE printables (the Superhero logos and Valentine's messages) and using my 2" paper punch, cut them out and sorted them.
Then using the craft glue we put the Superhero logos onto the capes. Then Dominic arranged them in a nice little smiley face. :D haha
Then you slide the lollypop through the hole punch. Helps to twist a little and slide it up as far as you can so it doesn't fall off. :)
Then you hole punch on the top and bottom of a coordinating message. Then you slide the message on to the stick. :D
Then you're ALL DONE!!! :D
& WONDER WOMAN! (BECAUSE GIRLS ARE SUPERHEROS TO! ;D)
Dominic loved them. & after you got everything together they are super easy to put together quickly!
