A probably not final update to Pinchergate

David Duguid, government Fisheries Envoy and Trade Envoy to Angola and Zambia has resigned.

James Sunderland, Parliamentary Private Secretary to the Environment Department has also resigned.

The number of resignations today is 38, which breaks the record for most government resignations in a day.

14 ministers have resigned today, beating the previous record for most ministers resigned in a single day, which was 11 back in 1932.

There will be a reshuffle.

But according to Labour’s Conor McGinn, there will be no bill committees tomorrow - scheduled ones have been cancelled because “they don’t have enough ministers to attend”.

Douglas Ross, leader of the Scottish Tories has no confidence in Boris Johnson.

Jonathan Djanogly, MP for Huntingdon, also has no confidence in Boris Johnson.

Charles Walker, MP for Broxbourne, has no confidence in Boris Johnson.

And Nadhim Zahawi, previously reported that he was on Team BoJo Go, is actually on Team Back Boris.

Boris Johnson will not resign tonight, which means more resignations will likely follow. Rumours are it will be someone in his cabinet.
