The DEMOCRATIC WOMEN'S CLUB OF UPPER PINELLAS COUNTY (DWCUP) will be meeting on May 23rd, 2016 at the Clearwater Main Library, 100 N. Osceola Ave., Clearwater, FL 33755. We are excited to have as our guest speaker Toni Van Pelt. Ms. Van Pelt is co-founder, president, and Congressional lobbyist for the Institute for Science and Human Values (ISHV). She launched and directs one of the first public policy offices of the Secular Humanist movement in Washington DC, which focuses on the importance of science, the use of empirical evidence as the basis for public policy, separation of church and state, secularism, and women’s and LGBTQI rights.
