Established in 1941, the Democratic Women's Club of Upper Pinellas County has the distinction of being one the first Democratic Women's Club in the USA! Members of the DWCUP actively volunteer throughout Pinellas County, with like-minded individuals, to support progressive candidates and causes.

The DEMOCRATIC WOMEN'S CLUB OF UPPER PINELLAS COUNTY (DWCUP) will be meeting on May 23rd, 2016 at the Clearwater Main Library, 100 N. Osceola Ave., Clearwater, FL 33755.  We are excited to have as our guest speaker Toni Van Pelt.  Ms. Van Pelt is co-founder, president, and Congressional lobbyist for the Institute for Science and Human Values (ISHV). She launched and directs one of the first public policy offices of the Secular Humanist movement in Washington DC, which focuses on the importance of science, the use of empirical evidence as the basis for public policy, separation of church and state, secularism, and women’s and LGBTQI rights.  Social time and lunch is at 11:30 am and the meeting starts at 12:00 Noon.  A light lunch is available for $5.00.  Please join us!
