Exactly!!! I didn’t spend hours in school analysing the freaking deeper meaning and themes of shit like shakesphere and Jane Austen to not see romantic subtext when it’s being shoved in my face!

I was wondering what program you make gifs on? yours look really nice and I'd like to learn how to do it myself :)

making gifs is super fun!!! I wouldn’t say that I’m an expert at it but i’m really pleased to hear you like my gifs!! 

I have adobe photoshop CC. A full legal copy of photoshop is gonna be the easiest thing to make gifs on, having tried several other methods, but you can do them pretty well if you can find a copy of photoshop portable. (technically you CAN also make gifs with GIMP but I wouldn’t recommend it; you have to individually color each frame and that’s tedious, and they never look quite as good)

There are a million and two tutorials out there on how to make gifs with photoshop so i won’t get into that too much, but I will say that while many people use PSDs I’ve never found them useful and instead color each gif individually. If you have questions about my specific process or how to do something I am happy to help! I’m not the person to talk to about fancy color palette edits but I know someone who’s made some tutorials for that if you want them.

also really useful info for beginners: your gifs HAVE to be less than 3mb to display as an animation on tumblr. If you post a gif that’s larger than that it won’t move. Also (and I believe this is still accurate) the width of a full-width gif on tumblr is 540px.
