Ok so thats a tough one so heres all the majorly angsty backstories
Mariana was imprisoned at the bottom of a planets ocean that very heavily references hell but watery and has a lot of issues. Shes paranoid and skittish and has a deep resentment towards blue. She cant stand heat or the dark and everything either scares her or makes her act violently. She ends up getting a sapphire gf who helps her avoid situations that will upset her or make her act impulsively.
Blacky and mercury both experienced abuse. Blacky at the hands of someone she loved Thats why i say fuck zj cause shes a bitch. Shes better now but her concept of love was very skewed. She has inky and took up fighting for sport. Mercury use to be timid and a push over and was used and abused by a gem stronger than her (which is why she delved into dark magic). Of course she grew heavily reliant on it and power hungry and used it to try and over throw her diamond. She has the slowest recovery post redemption due to lack of support.
CAM has experienced a lot of dehumanization in her life and has a lot of repressed anger and is mentally unsound due to it. Shes very violent because all she knows is violence. Everything feels like a test and she always on edge. Shes also a mini cluster of aquamarine so shes often fighting with herself inside herself.
Goldie was abandoned by her owner who only used her as a trophy to show how important she was and it damaged the way she saw herself. She doesn't smile or keep herself as well kept as she should because she hates feeling anything like she did with gold. She can smile and does in certain circumstances but overall she doesn't.
Blue spinel or blunel was nearly shattered by her diamond for things out of her control. while she doesnt resent her she doesnt trust her or anyone with her gem and spent a good part of her life pre era three cracked and in pain
Peris has has a lot of post war issues. Shes been injured and shes lost people close to her. She hardened herself to be less sensitive to it but deep down it still hurts her. She doesn't relax easily without worrying that peace may be short lived and shell have to go back to putting herself and others life's on the line for the sake of homeworld.
pink sapple/sapphire who was trapped in a book for centuries due to a misunderstanding. Post being released shes mostly just sorrowful and lost in this new world. She cries frequently but has no anger towards steven. (Shes the only pink oc of mine to be affiliated with pink herself)
