Trend: Think Pink Spring/Summer 2014
Hot pink, fuchsia pink, magenta, call it what you will but one thing’s for sure, the pastel pink trend has a hardcore flip side for Summer 2014, demonstrated by Lara Stone at Cannes Film Festival last night.

A Rosy Winter…
Brightening up the catwalks during the Autumn/Winter shows, warm rosy tones made themselves known as a key trend. Roomy Coats were a favourite amongst Celine and Miu Miu while Simone Rocha and Jonathan Saunders opted for smart jackets and skirts. Romantic and feminine, fashion-lovers are bound to be tickled pink with these soft winter creations…
Celine chose presented an oversized pale pink coat, keeping the look demure by pairing it with light grey. Cosy ankle boots and simple slicked back hair completed the look. Mulberry went down a similar avenue, pairing their dusky pink coat with dark brown and white.
Jonathan Saunders went more conservative. Using a baby pink the designer created chic looks with knee length skirts and collared jackets. Saunders gave the look an edge with dark eyes, a thick black leather belt and laced strapped shoes. Miu Miu’s used a darker shade of the colour trend, models sporting long coats which were accessorised with slim belts and polka-dotted neck scarfs.
Simone Rocha showcased multiple looks using rose, the collection oozing a girlish yet quirky feel. The designer favoured feminine silhouettes and cuts, sugary pink covered jackets and coats. The looks were finished off with Rocha’s signature chunky flat shoes. Carven cocooned models in wide-shouldered pastel pieces.
From the most delicate tint to deeper hues, rosy pinks are sure to give autumn/winter looks a warm shimmer of colour.
