Kazuma and Ryunosuke are huddled close on the bed with Ryunosuke resting his head on Kazuma's chest. There's two blankets and a thick comforter on top of them. It would be the perfect time to nap if Kazuma would stop moving his left hand to flip the page of the book he's reading.
Ryunosuke would normally look up to see what his partner is reading, but he's so comfortable. If he moves, surely the heat will escape.
The last few days have been freezing. It's been below zero and the weather has been nipping on his fingertips and nose. He's decided to handle this issue with a thick comforter and has convinced Kazuma to cuddle with him. He hadn't expected how warm it would be. As soon as Kazuma joined, his mind relaxed and he rested his eyes.
It's so warm...
He has caught himself occasionally snoozing off already, but he's fighting to stay awake. Tonight's Christmas, and Iris will be furious if they sleep through the festivities.
It's a small moment, but as Kazuma's right hand moves down to rub Ryunosuke's back, its a gentle reminder of his partner showing affection.
"Ryunosuke?"
"Mm?"
"Are you falling asleep on me?"
"Maybe." Ryunosuke mumbles, nuzzling his head in closer.
"Come now, we don't want to fall asleep before Iris's feast." Kazuma gently nudges his head. "We probably should get up then."
"Three minutes."
Kazuma exhales, leaning down to kiss his forehead. "Fine. Three minutes. I'll wake you up then."
"Thank you." Ryunosuke groggily moves his head closer as Kazuma wraps his arm around him.
