                          “Undercover security here is abysmal,” Alec commented as his gaze drifted around the room, eyes narrowing just a touch. “Really, what’s the point of putting guards undercover if it’s obvious? Or if it’s limited, at the very least.” The Prince of Idris had always been known for being blunt - honest to a fault, some tabloids had called him. Not one to mince words, and given what his country had made it’s name on... He was usually more critical of an event or country’s security than he was about anything else.

“Come back to bed, Jesse.” Charity groaned as she rolled over and felt that he wasn’t there. She sighed and sat up in bed, looking around. Hmm-- he wasn’t even in the bedroom. She got up, putting on her duster before walking in the living room. “What are you doin’?”

This had 'bad idea' written all over it. But Mia needed answers. The dreams and hallucinations were getting worse. She was doing things without realizing. It all scared her. What scared her more was the idea that he could be in danger and that the danger was her. Going back to the cabin was the last thing she wanted to do. But she felt like she had to do it. Of corse she didn't tell Jesse about any of this. Instead she snuck out while he was sleeping. Well she thought he was sleeping. She didnt think he would followe her. Mia was already in the cabin when she heard a car pull up. She walked back out and spotted Jesse. "What are you doing?"

Alex was often paranoid nowadays. Hiding away as best she could in her apartment in Brooklyn, always watching to make sure that there was no-one watching her. No-one watching Daniel. Because Daniel was her whole world, regardless of who his father was, of the circumstances of his conception. She looked a little different now, her hair was longer, the curls more distinct, her glasses switched for contact lenses. Little things to make her less noticeable in a crowd.

She was sat at the table, working on her laptop while keeping an eye on Daniel happily playing on the floor. She smiled as he built a tower of bricks, using his considerable intelligence to keep it stable and neat. 

And she gasped in shock when there was a knock at the door. Quickly picking Daniel up, she moved him and the blocks into his bedroom, forcing a smile so that he didn’t think anything was wrong. And then, very cautiously, she opened the front door.

Mia held David’s little hands carefully. He bounced happily and babbled. “Okay, kid. Gonna take a step this time? WIthout mom’s help? I know you can.” She smiled as David squealed. She was trying to teach him how to walk but he just wanted to bounce. He had on a beanie that matched one Jesse had. Speaking of Jesse, Mia looked over to him. “Jesse, try getting his attention. Maybe he’ll want to walk over to you.”
