One more thing about Evil Dead Burn: I really liked how they leaned into the possession being like a virus. And where you can almost see the demons slowly working into their hosts and adjusting to the body when they take over and the body trying to fight back like it would to any illness. I noticed it in Rise too with Ellie before she went full deadite.
I mean this could just be me looking into it deeper than necessary since I RP an Evil Dead character but I can't help it.
Evil Dead Burn was so good! I like Rise a bit more but this one was a solid entry. There literally hasn't been a bad Evil Dead movie yet and I'm loving it.
My ranking goes:
The Evil Dead
Evil Dead (2013)
The Evil Dead 2
Ash Vs Evil Dead
Evil Dead Rise
Evil Dead Burn
Army of Darkness
I know. Having everyone's favorite as my last is blasphemy. But I really don't get the glaze of Army. It's a fun movie and so memorable but I hated that they were full on with the slap stick humor. Especially when they were actually trying to do a full on horror with the first one. Evil Dead 2 had the perfect balance of humor and horror.
Morning. I am 33 years old today. Old af.
Over here dodging all the clips that people keep posting from the new Evil Dead. I want to experience all the gory goodness MYSELF.
I've already been pretty absent here but this is an official hiatus since me and the husband are going on our vacation. My birthday is also next weekend! So lots of stuff happening. Miss you guys!

Evil Dead heroes + saws
I am still doing an evil dead marathon. Watched the first one before we went out and now I'm home and watching 2. Can't get my husband to watch with me because even the cheap gore effects of the first one made him nauseous. He can't handle gore.
This weekend ended up being busier than planned. What was originally supposed to be no mother's day plans turned into spending yesterday with my mom then today with my husband's mom. So yeah, I was totally a liar when I said I was going to write. I mean I still could but now I'm tired and just want to game.
Okay I need coffee and motivation to write. Evil Dead marathon today? Maybe.
My hair is driving me nuts today. Up or down?
Evil Dead Burn (2026) dir. Sébastien Vaniček
I have a 3 day weekend starting tomorrow so I will be here! The Evil Dead trailers are inspiring me. Especially since there are references to 2013 and it looks like it's connected to Rise. It's all coming together. Maybe we'll get Mia back? And Beth? I don't know where the movies are going but I'm excited.
We eating GOOD this summer
