They as a band have completely changed. And i'm not talking about the music, i'm talking about the way they treat their fans and the was they act. Jared has definitely let the fame get to him, and only cares about his image. I mean hell,the fact they think they can sell a "super duper package" for $999.99? And alot of the fans don't see anything wrong with it. I'm just so turned off by that band anymore.

i just went and checked the Futurama ep you mentioned and i was kind of really confused why they even wrote the line to make a distinction. it wasn't presented as funny, and it just came across as weird.

It's one of the writers deliberately taking a swipe at people who've been verbally abused. It's not a joke falling flat, it's a targeted bullying tactic and a fucking attack. Hence the complete and utter disgust. Wayy too many people just handwaved that shit to get it on the air.
