Friendly Parental Bonding
Lately Toriel had been going over to Asgore's Flower Shop, both humans and monsters started quietly gossiping, wondering why the former Queen would visit Asgore after staying away for so long.
Some theoried that Toriel and Asgore were getting back together but keeping the relationship a secret for their privacy to bond with each other after many years apart. However Alphys had another thought, something that sounded a little insane.
She theoried that Toriel and Asgore were meeting up to discuss about Shadow and how he's doing. Afterall the two only started meeting up after Shadow appeared and started working at Asgore's shop. Poor Alphys would never know that her theory was correct.
Toriel picked up her cup of tea that was prepared "how is Shadow doing with the flowers?" She asked, taking a sip as Asgore replied "quite well, his magic is getting strong enough to help the green flowers grow" he replied.
Toriel smiled happily "oh that is wonderful, those are quite hard aren't they?" She asked, Asgore nodded "what about at home? Is he eating well?" He asked.
Toriel giggled "yes, I make sure he is fed quite well, sometimes it's hard getting him to sit and eat, granted I am still trying to find a dessert he will eat" she said with a sigh. Asgore chuckled "well he's not like his sister, Roman has quite the sweet tooth" he said, Toriel smiled sadly "yes...I still remember the time I walked in the kitchen at night to get a drink and saw her snatching some of the chocolate bars from a cupboard" she replied.
Asgore let out a sad sigh "does he mention her?" He asked, Toriel put down her cup of tea, as she shook her head "not to me...I don't ask him...I'm sure Joyce and Neela probably know more than me about that" she replied. Asgore chuckled slightly "shame we can't invite them for these chats" he said, Toriel nodded "yes, we wouldn't hear the end of it if everyone thought we were getting back together" she replied.
Asgore laughed slightly "exactly, plus Shadow will get suspicious and he'll find out" he said, Toriel giggled "then he'll blush and get shy about us praising him" she added. Asgore laughed higher at that "oh gosh, that made me remember the day where I praised him for every task he did. By the end of the work he was basically invisible with only the floating apron as a sign he was still there" he said with glee.
Toriel giggled "oh yes! It's quite adorable, sometimes I just want to pinch his cheeks but I hold back on my motherly intentions" she replied.
The two laughed and kept talking about Shadow, the son they shared...Well technically they considered him their son, they know Shadow couldn't call them mom or dad, not with his trauma from his last parent.
Meanwhile over in Toriel's house, Shadow felt his body tingle, he didn't know why but he felt like he wanted to hide away, he could feel himself going invisible. "Shadow?" Neela asked, looking up at him from her spot on the floor where she was drawing a picture. Shadow snapped back to the present and focused on making his body tangible again "yeah?" He asked.
"Are you okay? Did you have another bad thought?" Neela asked with concern, Shadow shook his head with a soft smile "no, I just felt like I needed to hide" he replied. Neela looked confused "why?" She asked, Shadow shrugged "no clue, I felt a tingle and just this need to hide, I don't think it's because I'm scared" he said with a thoughtful hum.
He wouldn't find out about these secret meetups, Toriel and Asgore certainly weren't going to tell a soul why they were meeting up.
