That creak was no Kamek! It's a lab rat... potentially one of the wizard's own test dummies. Annoying... but, it beats some cronny bothering him. With surprising cautioness, he offered his pointer as a platform for the rodent. "Now how did you get out of your maze?"

❝ Oh... poor little guy. ❞ David had yet to really lose his humanity in a mental capacity despite the Eye of the Serpent's handiwork. He may have been a rat now but he was a rat the size of a human child that could talk.... and so far his current furry form hadn't made animals any more intelligible.

❝ Here, let me help you out of that. ❞ David grabbed Pinky's little paw and helped pull him out of the sticky mud, —which was getting hard like cement on him. As far as David was concerned he would have done this as a human too.

"MOTHER*CHIRP*ERS!!!! LET!!! GO!!!!"

It seems it finally happened. Someone who saw her got actually interested and wanted to find out what this weird, flying bird-shaped plant ACTUALLY was.

Unfortunately, it required catching her and bringing her to the lab. Against her will, but that's what some people are willing to do in the name of science.

The metallic cage made a loud noise as she was tossed in. "Ow!!"

"If had my magic plant growing stuff with me, would get BIG beating from me!!!!"

But alas, she did not have it. It was somewhere outside, and she was inside, locked in a cage. It was late when she was brought in, so the people agreed they wouldn't do anything with this new creature until the lab would open again in the morning. So, the lights turned off and the people left, leaving the poor little berry thing in her cage. (Probably not how labs work at ALL but I dont want anything to happen to my babygirl okay ;-;)

Chopper's eyes widened in shock at the sight of a small mouse speaking like a human. It only took a few seconds for him to calm down though, his gaze softening to a more friendly and welcoming one as he smiled at the mouse.

"I guess you're not a mink. If you just liked my hat, then thanks. I thought you might've been one of my crew's enemies." This creature wasn't dangerous and seemed friendly enough. There was no need to be on edge.

"You're not alone though, right? Surely you have an... owne- human friends around here, right? Or should I take it you're here because you were separated from them? I can't help but worry with all the monsters on this island."

her lazy gaze lifts to the little white mouse excitedly presenting her with something in his little pink paws . or rather , he was dragging something . a collection of sparkly things tied together in a simple string . the mink's expression melts .

“ why , pinkie ! ” she gaped . “ i didn't know ya had an eye for making jewelry ! ”

it was clearly hand-made . a little crude , perhaps , but the beads & trinkets sparkled quite nicely . & to think he had taken the time to make it ...

minerva eagerly tries it on , the gift nestling comfortably around her neck , & she kissed the top of pinky's head .

“ thank you , babydoll . ya know how to spoil a girl~ ”

The tall creature gave the newcomer a loooong stare, and then tilted his head. Or, actually he turned it upside down.

This newcomer seemed to be one of those funny-looking creatures that called themselves 'humans'. And this one was still alive. Or at least it looked like it?

"Liven up..?" he finally asked. "But sir, this party is only for the--"

"Saaaay!" One of his eyes grew big as he examined the other. "You look familiar! Do I know you from somewhere?"

"Miss Nurse? Are you a doctor too? I've never had a nurse before; just Tristan and a few other minks who come and go." Chopper chuckled at the idea, shaking his head after giving it some thought. Tilting his gaze down toward the mouse, he smiled reassuringly. "No need to worry. That fight was over a week or so ago. Everyone's healing up nicely. The only thing that happened to me was an arrow to the shoulder. It's already healed up nicely."
