Greetings, humans. Welcome to 2026 at the Gallifrey Institute for Learning.
A Message from the Chancellor
Another cycle begins, and with it, another opportunity for the Gallifrey Institute for Learning to continue its mission of interspecies education.
Some of you may have noticed a brief interruption to posting last year. Others may have observed unusual announcements, structural changes, or a temporary shift in leadership. We assure you these matters were handled internally and involved complexities that would be inefficient to explain at a human level. All recent disruptions have been resolved, and that there is, officially, nothing to be concerned about.
Institute Updates for 2026
Following an extensive internal review, several changes have been implemented:
Translation Officer for Mutter's Spiral.
We are pleased to confirm that Kethralynna of Prydon has graduated and has accepted a permanent appointment to this role. We would like to assure all parties that this role is not cursed.
Vice-Chancellor new appointment.
We say good bye to Saralonoroxapligofmyityo of Arcal who is moving onto pastures new at the CIA. We welcome Praevolinexashinadonkanila of Prydon to the position. Praevolinexa brings a strong background in temporal governance, institutional operations, and not leaving tea rings all over her desk like the last Vice-Chancellor did.
Security Lead appointment.
Following the events of last year, a new role has been created within the Institute to oversee internal safety, narrative integrity, and unauthorised ambition. The position is filled. Oversight is continuous.
Regional Liaison for Mutter's Spiral dissolved.
This role has been formally dissolved. The Institute will no longer pretend that 'Regional Liaison' adequately describes what was happening. We wish Shaplinortyovatshuagu of Drome all the best in her new endeavours.
Interplanetary Cuisine Instructor.
Following the success of Chomp Chomp with Myishu last year, Myishu has accepted an additional position of Interplanetary Cuisine Lead. There is currently no job description for this but he liked the title.
Monthly Topics.
The monthly topics has been retracted to allow for a wider and more free scope of variable themes through the year. If there's a particular topic you'd like discussed with a deep-dive, please submit an ask.
Institute Outlook for 2026
This year, the Gallifrey Institute for Learning will be placing renewed emphasis on:
Institutional memory and record integrity
Appropriate ambition in junior staff
Clear chains of authority
Preventing unresolved narratives from reasserting themselves
These measures are preventative, routine, and should not be interpreted as a response to any specific individual, event, or transmission.
