So, yesterday was the last day for the Pinsir/Heracross and subsequent Megastone event. I only realize this yesterday. Boo. Got to GameStop to get a code and find out they don't have any, but the awesome girl calls literally all the other stores in the area and gets it for me. I go back to my house to put it in, find out I read a number wrong. Go back to confirm. Go back to my 3DS and find you have to wait 24 hours to put in a code if you fail to input one correctly. I have a perfectly good code for an event that is over. I even tried the code thinking maybe it'll work today. Nope. The struggle of first world problems ;_;

Say, how do those mega stone cards work?

You just go at the start of the game before you choose to load your save and go to:

Mystery Gift

Receive Gift

Get with Code

And then enter the one-use code into the box

The code you happen to get to use to get a mega stone works on either game, but you can only get the Heracronite for X and the Pinsirite for Y.
