Okay potentially TW-ish question but are there any diseases or cancers or ailments that people get that seem to be caused by living on Gemini for a while and human bodies having a hard time adapting?
That’s a great question! Izanagi’s conditions, while very similar to Earth and viable for human life, aren’t ideal for all walks of life. For instance, with a relatively denser atmosphere than Earth, people from Earth with existing lung disease (like asthma or COPD) might struggle more than others (though, Earth’s atmospheric conditions in the 26th century weren’t exactly ideal either).
The first waves of colonists coming to Izanagi probably had to go through a series of trial and error while exploring the planet. Identifying poisonous flora and harmful microorganisms that could lead to ailments or illness. Over the years, the more obvious challenges for human life to thrive were likely weeded out— but who knows what other struggles they may face?
That being said, we’ll also be releasing some more lore on other, more mysterious effects on the human body by being exposed to certain environmental influences of Izanagi that science can’t entirely explain... stay tuned for more on that! ԅ(‾⌣‾ԅ)
