Testing

So I found a new packaging closing method on Pinterest I thought would be cool to try, especially because we use way too many plastic bottles at our house.

Okay, so I'm currently using an old coke bottle, as it was lying around and I am saving our water bottle caps for another project. 

So, I had a plastic and paper bag (both filled with chocolate because I love chocolate). My main concern with the paper bag was that it was thick and flimsy, so I thought I would test plastic as well.

The paper bag was a complete failure, not only did it severely damage the bag, but I couldn't get the cap on securely. 

The plastic bag went on securely, but it also severely damaged it. So, because the original pin showed a chocolate chip bag I actually went downstairs to try one of those. 

The chocolate chip bag worked the best, the plastic was still decently in tact, and the bag closed securely around it. So, my recommendation is that this would actually work and might be a good way to save some plastic (especially if you are unsure about the recyclability of #5 plastic in your area) but it's best used on strong plastics.
