You’re way too good for Giyuu in Sanemi’s mind. You’re one of the nicest people he’s ever met, one of the strongest Corps members and he believes you can become a Hashira one day, but you are so far out of Giyuu’s league that he doesn’t understand why you’ve chosen to like him. No matter how much Sanemi tries to convince you that Giyuu isn’t worth your time or your feelings, you can’t help it, he’s stolen your heart even though you’ve only met and spoken a few times before, you aren’t even sure why but he did. You don’t understand why Sanemi is so against you wanting to date Giyuu, in your mind he’s more out of your league and you’re sure he’d never have feelings for you.

Sanemi only watches when you try to talk to Giyuu, wishing you’d stop and forget about it, you’re not going to make even a bit of progress with him anytime soon. A few times you talk away from talking with Giyuu looking happy like everything is going well, sometimes he swears you look upset but he’s not sure if he’s seeing things right.

Oddly enough it is your best friend who starts trying to get Giyuu to talk to you more, mostly because he hates thinking that you’re upset about anything. Sanemi states dragging Giyuu off after meetings or actively speaks to him on joint missions, talking you up and about how anyone would be lucky to have your attention and affections set on them. It confuses Giyuu greatly for a while until he finally realizes what’s going on.

“…are you trying to set me up with [Y/N]?’

“No! Don’t be stupid!”

“Oh.”

“…if I was though, if I hear you’ve hurt her or done anything to make upset, I’ll kill you where you stand.”

It doesn’t scare Giyuu off, don’t worry. Actually it makes him start to push himself more to speak with and get to know you better, eventually asking you out and maybe Sanemi is happy about it instead of annoyed or mad.

He won’t ever tell you though.

Sanemi, pointing at Giyuu: That guy fucking sucks stay away from him

Y/N, with the biggest, wettest eyes: Don't say that... he's been so nice to me...

Giyuu has been so nice to you, why would Sanemi ever suggest you stay away from him?? Maybe he's just trying to protect you, or he really doesn't like Giyuu at all, but it doesn’t make any sense when he tells you that. (Bonus points if Sanemi is your number one bestie!)

You can pout and tear up all you want, Sanemi will continue to try and keep you away from Giyuu or vice versa. If you start to wander towards him during Hashira meetings, your white haired friend drags you back beside him. Should Giyuu try to speak with you, he's behind you like a guard dog, its like you have an overprotective older brother watching you.

Luckily your estate is far, far away from Sanemi's so he'll never know when you invite Giyuu over for tea and to talk, unless he breaks down your door one day because you don't show up to training. Your poor soul if that ever happens, Giyuu will join Gyomei in prayer for you.

Shinobu: It's a gir- what the hell

The baby, with the most deadpan look, somehow crying in lower case: waah.

S/O: Oh, she has your eyes...

Giyuu: She's perfect... thank you so much.

Meanwhile Shinobu is having a staring competition with the baby. Shinobu is losing, muttering "Giyuu has a baby" meanwhile Giyuu is correcting her like "S/O and I have a baby."

The baby just stares, every time someone other than her mama or papa is holding her. Its unsettling to everyone that holds her, mostly when they see how happy and smiley she is, especially when she's with Giyuu. 😌

Shinobu might lose a staring contest with a newborn, but that baby decides she's her favorite person apart from mama and papa, no one beats her auntie Shinobu in anything.

But yeah, that shock that your baby daddy is Giyuu, that never wears off and everyone has to constantly question how they didn't notice or how neither of you dropped a single hint the whole pregnancy. They all get whiplash every time they see him carrying your baby with him, wondering how Giyuu, of all people, ended up with someone before any of them did (minus Tengen but he's an exception).

S/O: No, no, not yet. They're all making bets and none are going to be winning.

Giyuu: ...none?

S/O: None.

Meanwhile the baby will have his deadpan look. Maybe the baby will have S/O's hair, or nose, but those eyes? 100% Giyuu. There's no denying it

But yes! The baby will have his deadpan look right out of the womb, there will he no question that's Giyuu’s baby, especially with the matching eyes. ☺️

You think Killer will die for Kid? He'll do the same for you, get Kid to turn the ship around and head in the direction your card was moving, fight through hell and back to make sure you're okay and he's very likely to try and steal you from the Straw Hats after that. He does trust you, it's Luffy he doesn't trust to keep you safe after this.

Yeah it could lead to a fight with your crew, but Killer won't care, he might even compromise with them to steal you away for a few days at a time.

This is completely normal. You're just making sure, he's still breathing and he hasn't noticed so its okay, right?

Right, you're just a concerned partner who has to be sure he's okay and not suddenly dead in his sleep. Its not like you're poking at him to make him move or anything, you're just quietly watching him sleep. Its not creepy no matter who says it is *cough* Kidd *cough*

Killer: You do realize that doesn't really help right.

S/O's though process: How can I show my boyfriend I'm fine with my crew? Oh right, tell him about the times I almost died. Surely that shows him I'm in capable hands because I'm not dead when I should be!

Also I feel like at least some of the crew would mostly, if not only, refer to Killer as S/O's boyfriend from then on

You can try to convince him, but isn't going to work no matter what you say. Even if you try to prove that you can protect yourself, he's still going to have you join him for a few days at a time every now and again.

Maybe he's a little overprotective, but he doesn't want to go through seeing your vivre card burning again. It is really sweet of him, you do understand, there's only so much you can do to make him realize you're fine and this is totally normal.

Yeah no, it doesn't work, even a little bit, and he's probably going to 'kidnap' you more often than not just to keep you safer in his mind.

And yes, they absolutely have taken to just calling Killer S/O's boyfriend, that's his name. None of them call him Killer or anything else, its only S/O's boyfriend. Not that he's going to complain though, he doesn't mind that even a tiny bit.

That's an interesting way to handle it! Im not sure if it would work for me, its definitely something to keep in mind lol.

I do also know this could be allergies caus we've had tons of rain, people are mowing their lawn, I have to take care of my backyard, its just when it happens three days in a row my mind goes to my condition lol.
