Iron Cross No. 13 (2022) . Quarterly magazine focussing on German Military History from 1914-1945. The cover, by Piotr Forkasiewicz, depicts the events of 24 May 1943 and a Short Sunderland attacking U-441, a U-Boat which was also designated U-Flak 1. The Sunderland was lost with all 11 crew. U-441 was finally sunk in June 1944.

Iron Cross No. 11 (2022) . Quarterly magazine on German Military History from 1914-1945. Keith Burns had finished up his run of covers on No. 10 and the art on this one is by Piotr Forkasiewicz. I think it's 3D/CG art.

The image depicts the German Messerschmitt Bf 109E-1 "Red 14" which was shot down by a Spitfire* over Selmeston, East Sussex on the 12 August 1940. As the cover says it was then put on display, in the condition you would expect from crash landing in a field, around various UK cities.

*I thought the Spitfire on the cover looked more like a Hurricane but its maybe just the angle it is drawn from. Maybe it's just me.
