EODY announced that in the week of July 25 - 31, 122,230 cases of COVID-19 were recorded (11,716 per million population: -11% weekly change), that is, almost 17,500 cases per day, of which reinfections concern 20% of infections. The total number of infections since the beginning of the pandemic amounts to 4,474,616 of which 51.8% are women.

The total number of admissions to the territory's hospitals in the reference week was 2,558 patients (7-month period: 365, -9% weekly change), while the total number of discharges amounted to 2,219 patients (7-month period: 317, 2% weekly change). The number of intubated patients by the end of the reference week is 138 (65.2% men) with a median age of 69 years and 92.8% having an underlying disease and/or age of 70 years or older.

In the reporting week, 355 deaths of COVID-19 patients were recorded (34 per million population: 21% weekly change), i.e. almost 51 deaths per day, a figure significantly inflated from the previous count of the week of July 18 - 24, while since the beginning of the epidemic there have been recorded a total of 31,377 deaths, with 95.8% having an underlying disease and/or age 70 years or older.
