Gender and Sexuality: Male, straight (gasp! I know. His moms are appalled.)

Ethnicity/Species: human, half-Japanese (not sure what the other half is yet, as I haven’t nailed down his sperm donor)
Birthplace and Birthdate: Born in Washington state at 6:17 AM on September 21. If you’re keeping score at home, you know this makes him a Virgo/Libra cusp. (He’s also an anchor baby, as his moms are Canadian, so he has dual citizenship.)
Guilty Pleasures: Elliott is so genuinely enthusiastic about everything he likes that he doesn’t have any true guilty pleasures, although as a chef and someone with a degree in food science, he understands that sno-cones have no nutritional or redeeming value other than just being damn delicious. He also spends a lot of money on collecting vintage and novelty recording formats in music (vinyl, 8 tracks, cassettes, etc.) but that’s more of a hobby and less of a guilty pleasure.
Phobias: Making people angry. If he thinks he upset you, he actually might cry.
What They Would Be Famous For: His restaurant is getting a lot of press lately!
What They Would Get Arrested For: Probably something like accidentally falling asleep in a public park. Or protesting.

Why Someone Might Love Them: He’s probably the sweetest man alive, and he’s very good at emotionally taking care of people. He probably keeps track of Ava and Piper’s menstrual cycles so he can go buy them their favorite comfort items the day before they’re due to start.
Why Someone Might Hate Them: He is hella conflict avoidant, to the point that he sometimes avoids something too hard. (Case in point: his ex and their daughter.)
How They Change: Dating two women at the same time means that he comes into contact with a LOT of conflict, usually from outside sources. (Friends being assholes about it, his preteen daughter deciding she wants to get to know her dad and his ex balking at allowing it because of his relationship status, etc.) He eventually gets to the point that he can actually face down confrontation if he absolutely has to, even though he still hates it.
Why You Love Them: Elliott is a gigantic dork and I adore him. He’s genuinely kindhearted, and he worries about everything. Somebody needs to keep this man off the internet because he does the equivalent of typing his symptoms into Web MD every time something comes up.

What They Would Be Famous For: Her opinions. On everything. Also, in her hometown, she’s a little infamous for constantly causing trouble.
What They Would Get Arrested For: Probably mouthing off to an officer or a noise disturbance complaint.

Talents and/or Powers: She can put almost anyone at ease about anything. Freaking out about something? She’ll get your mind off of it. She’s also really great at expressing concepts in words.
Why Someone Might Love Them: She’s a LOT of fun, and she’s usually really up front about her opinions on any given thing, so you never have to wonder where you stand with her.
Why Someone Might Hate Them: She’s not really very good at feelings. Thinking, yes. Feeling, no. She also assumes that you will just tell her how you feel about something, so she doesn’t do a lot of intuiting. Also, see above about being really up front with her opinions -- sometimes that’s not a positive.
How They Change: She learns to slow down and ask people how they feel instead of assuming they’ll tell her. Elliott is so bad at disagreeing with people, and Ava doesn’t have time to try to talk to someone she doesn’t feel is interested, that she learns she has to do a little bit of work to make her partners feel safe with her. She grows up and makes some concessions for being in an adult relationship.
Why You Love Them: Piper cracks me up. The things that come out of this girl’s mouth... She’s the one who brings everyone else out of their shells. Where Elliott might be uncertain or Ava too busy working, Piper’s the one who says “You know what, let’s go on a roadtrip,” or “Let’s go out dancing.” She’s great at helping people be present in the moment, which is something both of her partners need.

Birthplace and Birthdate: Bentonville, Arkansas in the middle of a snowstorm on January 5th, but when she was five, her mother packed everything they owned in her car and drove them back to her hometown of Aurora, Oregon. (This is why she doesn’t talk about her middle name.)
Guilty Pleasures: Growing up, she and her mom were never financially stable, so now that she has money, she feels guilty for a lot of things to do with it, especially spending it on frivolous things, but my god, she loves fine chocolates and expensive flowers. She won’t buy them for herself, though she will spend plenty of money on good quality clothes.
Phobias: Having to rely on someone else, someone seeing her without her “armor” (styled hair, makeup, nice clothes) and judging her.
What They Would Be Famous For: She’s a caterer, but if she ever decided to be a fashion designer, she’d probably be very popular. Because she’s almost six feet tall and has hips and thighs for days, she has a hard time finding flattering clothes, so she sews a lot of her own clothes and tailors the ones she buys.
What They Would Get Arrested For: Oh my god I can’t imagine Ava getting arrested. She would die of embarrassment.

Talents and/or Powers: She’s so, so practical, my Ava. She has a plan for everything, and if she doesn’t have a plan for it, give her five minutes. She’s very good at cutting to the heart of the issue and finding a way to address it.
Why Someone Might Love Them: Not only is she physically stunning, her aura is commanding. I’m pretty sure that if she’d existed in ancient Greece they would have made her a goddess and built shrines to her. She’s also extremely fair and just, and cares a lot about everyone having a fair shake. And once you get past her armor, she’s so sweet.
Why Someone Might Hate Them: She’s very self-sufficient and has a really hard time letting other people take care of her at all. She hates to ask for help. She also judges people who she thinks take advantage of others, and she gets really judgy and stand-offish if you ask HER for help too many times or for things she thinks you should have been able to do on your own.
How They Change: She learns to open up and be a little more vulnerable with her partners. She learns that it’s okay to trust other people to be your safety net, and that she doesn’t always have to be the one taking care of everyone else.
Why You Love Them: Ava is hella my pet character right now. She’s two inches taller than her boyfriend and still wears heels; she’s bottom-heavy plus size and wears miniskirts and skinny jeans; she’s an emotional vault whose secret combination is being spoiled rotten and treated like a princess.
