Liam still does not know that Piper is the fellow hacker he had once communicated with in solving the first bombing of NY. He is oblivious to her actual work in the Diamonds. 

★ - sad headcanon

If you were to make a pie chart of Liam’s guilt inducers, 40% of it would be Piper’s kidnapping. Despite being the very brain behind that operation, the hacker now regrets ever going through with it. He can’t stand to see the fact that Piper’s fate hung under Sixes’ fingers, and the only person responsible for it in the first place was him. Lately, that has also been the reason why he can’t bear to come into HQ and work. The only exception of his going there is to bring her food. 

☾ - sleep headcanon 

Every once in a while, Liam checks and runs through the CCTV feed on Piper’s cell. In parts of the feed where Piper sleeps, he gets extremely anxious as he worries that there might be a possibility wherein she doesn’t wake up anymore. 

♥ - family headcanon

Secretly, Liam sees Piper as the younger sister he needs to protect and care for. He tenderly remembers the first time they met, where he had to accompany a not-so-able-to-walk Piper to Diamond Crop. Since then, this mindset of his to keep her safe had not been shaken off, but rather only encouraged, especially since he had learned of her gang affiliation.

Liam dislikes Piper because she works for the Diamonds. This makes him feel that their friendship is only a facade and will most likely never be any deeper because of their rival differences.

On the other hand, Liam adores the fact she is involved in technology as he is. He is somewhat sensing that his intern may actually be the contact he has online who works as a hacker such as him. If he could only prove it well, then he’d be thrilled of her.

As enemies, Liam would hate for their paths to cross. A part of him would despise her with all gusto only because she’d have done something incredibly awful to get on his bad side. However, there would still be something within him that would want to reconcile with her, despite it all.
