Y’all know I read a lot so this was heavy on my heart this morning. Last month was National Domestic Violence Awareness month, But in light of this current massacre at a Texas church over the weekend that was influenced by this, I think it’s time WE ALL WAKE UP & STAY INFORMED. 1 in 3 women & 1 in 4 men will be victims of some sort of physical abuse by their partner in their life time. Know the signs. 18,000 women have been killed by Domestic Violence since 2003. A women is beaten EVERY 9 seconds in the US alone. The number of American troops killed in Afghanistan and Iraq between 2001 and 2012 was 6,488. The number of American women who were murdered by current or ex male partners during that time was 11,766. That’s nearly double the amount of casualties lost during war. WAR PEOPLE!!! Do not continue to be victim to such a preventable situation. Get up & get out or you will be one of these statistics too. There is NO reason on earth for this behavior from a male or female on their spouse. Telling someone who does this that they are not wrong makes you an enabler & just as much of a low life pos as they are. NEVER believe otherwise. IT IS NOT OK.
