hey just wanted to give everyone some cool tips on pirating music :3

took like a gazillion years for me to figure this out for myself when my spotify premium subscription ran out for a little while so i wanted to share with anyone who doesn't know!

you can download songs to your phone and/or computer on ytmp3 or spotify to mp3 and then access and play them using VLC media player (which you can download on your phone and/or computer).

sure, its a pain in the ass to download all the songs you like, but once you do that, your phone can functionally be used as an ipod with all of the songs your heart desires, no ads, skip as many songs as you want, make playlists, etc. 💞💞

How to find books online:

Do not use Google or bing search engines (I use duck duck go)

Use an ad blocker (it will make things go faster/smoother and stop ad popups from downloading viruses)

Include these words in the search: book name, series name, author name, online, free, epub, pdf (the last two only if you're willing to download)

Buy a second hand phone/computer if you're really worried about viruses (I haven't ever had a problem afaik but you can usually find one on eBay or shopgoodwill or Facebook marketplace for cheap)

If you download an epub use an app like ReadEra, it will make your reading experience better (text fits page, you swipe to turn a page, and it keeps your place for you)

I recommend PDFs be read on a computer or a tablet (it doesn't work well on a phone screen)

If you find a website that you enjoy the look to, you can often find a search function on the homepage to check it first

Don't publicly post things like website address links to your favorite piracy websites (you might accidentally get it shut down)

note: i do use these with adblock so i can't confirm that you'll have the same experience if you don't use adblock extensions

i use that one for most cartoons and some anime, no random ads whenever you click on a new page. has dubbed, subbed, movies, ovas and a random assortment of cartoons. downsides are that the quality is a little low and they don't always update with newer cartoons

this is my go to anime site, has high quality dub and sub across multiple servers. has movies, series, ova. all the good shit. updates frequently with new animes and consistently running series. one downside i've noticed is the fact that the sound is often very quiet even on the highest volume

so this is the one i use to watch live action movies and tv shows. it has animated series but the other two sites tend to cover anything that's on this site. downsides are that without adblock anything you click on has a chance to send you to a website that could give you a virus. with adblock this goes away and it has multiple servers and decent closed captions. tends to upload recent movies in HD very quickly.

Yo about your pirating thing

If you have an android device there is an app called musicX (it changes frequently) and you can download music for free

Basically free YouTube music cause you can also watch the videos last I checked

It does change apps pretty often, like i think in the past year it switched 5 times? But as long as you download the apps it asks you to the original works fine and you don't need to re-download all your music

You can delete past itterations and such as you please

Help! I need to watch Our Flag Means Death Season 2 but I'm not sure where/how to watch it.

Obviously there will be a small amount of very civil piracy involved (Stede would be proud, Ed would tell me to stop fucking around and burn the ship down already).

reminder that while pirating textbooks is a virtue if you pirate books from living authors you are damaging their livelihood and potentially putting them at risk of things like homelessness or debt. you aren't hurting the publisher, it skips straight down to the author. if you can't afford a book, ask your local library to order it. they want you to have the book, i promise.
