Imagine his surprise when he finds that very same human, years later, now a pirate -- numbering among the many who hunt mer for all the supposed magic their parts are said to possess.

Seto loathes to trust any human, but was he wrong about this one? Could he have become the very thing Seto has sought to destroy...?

TL;DR -- Seto is a beautiful mer. Yugi is a dashing pirate. What's not to love?

LOL you made me realize I never drew Yugi in my Pirate AU

So I took the chance to do it now x°D he's supposed to be Atem's younger brother (I'm sorry, I had to justify the resemblance somehow lol) and he's from a very rich family who owns colonies (despite being so bad at history I chose this way for accuracy and clothing reasons) and when he finds out Atem might be still alive (they believed him dead after a shipwreck) he sails stealing one of his father's ships lol (his closest friends will be the crew 🔥)

Okay, I was looking at your pirate au comics because they give me life, and I noticed that Aki and the twins have more than one outfit unlike the rest of the crew. Do they commonly stop by certain places and stock up on supplies and the twins and Aki are the errand runners because people know who the rest of the crew are because of their identities as pirates?? Also, how does Yugi find Yami, and how did Yugi’s crew meet up??

(SDFGHJ) Ah, yeah I changed Aki’s clothes for sure, since she went from living in her own mansion to a pirate ship, lol (don’t worry she had enough money with her to buy other clothes). Not really the twins, in the last sketch I posted they had just took off their gilets xD But yeah unless they go in places where only pirates are usually gathered, they send out the twins, then Aki joined them! They all leave the ship only when they feel it’s safer, or where they have never been before (which means less people will be able to recognize them)!

HEH Yugi finds Atem in a very unexpected moment xD I haven’t thought about the details yet though. I’d love to make them meet when Atem hasn’t regained his memories yet (POOR YUGI his own brother can’t recognize him !! Thankfully they look ridiculously alike), but that’s how Yugi helps him remember who he is! I need this to happen before the ending part, because that was the reason why Atem wanted the map in the first place! (Then only Yusei and Pegasus are left lol)

Yugi’s crew is basically made of his closest friends (Tea, Jono, Honda etc), but I haven’t really thought about how they met… anyway, it will be totally inspired to how they met in the manga!!

his family is modest but not poor; they have a good relationship with the Muto family

still looking for a miracle for his sister’s eyes (he might find it while going with Yugi)

he’s kinda overprotective with Yugi at first; he stops when he realizes how mature Yugi became

used to be one of Atem’s closest friends, he was so shocked when he learned that Atem never came back home from his trip

he tried to dissuade Yugi from looking for him at first (as soon as Yugi learned that Atem had been seen alive in another place), but then decided to help him

DON’T FIGHT WITH JONO, HE’S GONNA KICK YER BUTT

sometimes scared but brave, good job Jono

SMOL but don’t fite him (Jono is gonna kick yer butt)

actually pretty nimble?? and smart???

if he wants to play a game with you (cards, chess, dices), don’t accept it, he’s gonna win no matter what

Jono teaches him basic self-defence which will turn very useful

he actually saw Atem in a dream some time after his big brother’s shipwreck, he was walking on a shore in pirates clothes, then called him from afar, which only made the “rumors” about Atem more believable, in a way

his father didn’t want to send him to look for Atem, “rumors are rumors. I’ve already lost a son, I don’t want to lose you as well”

ok seriously it’s supposed to be more complicated than this but this is all I’ve got for now, the rest is work in progress
