me rn, like i just got to the Big Reveal of what the towns about and i was like.... rly let down dude like, that was all theyd come up with??? i dont even really care to watch the rest

i actually liked the Big Reveal and I felt smart because I figured it out before they said it, BUT (WP spoilers obvy)

there were a lot of individual elements of WP that I liked. I’m prooobably not going to watch Season 2 because they didn’t plan on making a Season 2 -- S1 ends where the novels end (and apparently they changed the ending p significantly)

but yeah, i liked the cryonics thing, i even liked the academy subplot (even though it apparently wasn’t part of the original novels and seems shoehorned in by someone who read Lord of the Flies and completely missed the goddamn point)

what i DONT like is preachy environmentalist themes that rely on a complete misunderstanding of how science actually works. i’m tired of the villain that uses concepts of protecting humans/the environment to justify reducing the entirety of humanity to a tiny little mostly-white dollhouse over which he has complete control. like we get it, we saw it in kingsmen, watchmen, pandorum (except i really really liked pandorum), even fucking x-files and sleepy hollow pulled this dumbass card out the deck in their respective downward spirals. there’s probably a lot more but you know i just find movies and tv exhausting these days haha.

WP could have been very cool with a few small tweaks, but yeah i feel pretty let down :/

you will need an entire flat-pack of bobby pins and a lot of determination BUT it takes like 15 mins and you can keep it looking good for a few days! If your hair is too long just tuck the ends under the bulk of the ‘hawk it’s what i did :B

(also I started the style on a week-old braidout, idk if i could achieve it on a wash-out with my hair texture but you probably could)
