Hopeless

It's been 5 days and I've received nothing but rejections from the rescues saying they are "completely full" and sanctuary's are full as well. Ive posted on all social media, adoption ads and basically anything that we could think of. At this point I am feeling completely hopeless and hate that we were put in this situation to begin with. I just want to do the best possible thing for him. If anyone has any ideas on what else I can please reach out.

Everyone meet Ducky, a beautiful sweet 8yo baby hippo pit bull. A few weeks ago, I rescued her from a high kill county shelter because she stole my heart, and I'm sure she will steal yours too. I wanted to foster to adopt her and see if she would fit in with my other furry and feathered friends. Although she's a TOTAL softy, she does have a slight prey drive for small animals. (She didn't show her prey drive in the shelter because she was so sad 😿) so this brings me to social media to see if any of you beautiful souls who don't already have small animals, (big dogs and kids totally ok) please consider fostering/adding this sweet gem to your family. She is beyond kind hearted and such a good dog. I'm so sad I can't keep her but I know there is a perfect family out there for her somewhere! America euthanizes upward of 1,000,000 pit bull-type dogs every year. It’s a quiet massacre. These dogs make people uncomfortable, which has led the country to be faced with a major pit bull crisis. Around the world, they are equally victims of prejudices that associate them with ultra-violence and make them disposable dogs.

All the models from the series are shelter dogs who were waiting for adoption at the time of the photograph, and were thought to belong to the pit bull group (studies have shown that most of the time, the identification of pit bull-type dogs by shelter staff is inconsistent). Photographed about 250 dogs since the project started in the summer 2014 (check this link to view the complete series and who is still waiting for a home).
