California Metal & Supply today announced that its 30 second company intro video clip with Tony Gione, Sales Manager that’s affectionately named the “Pedal to the Metal” video, has been featured on Southern California Minority Business Development Council (SCMBDC)s Weekly Brief.  The clip, based on overall quality and delivery of pitch, was selected to be distributed to SCMBDC corporate members and business owners.    

The SCMBDC produced clip is part of an ongoing video series of current and newly SCMBDC-certified Minority Business Enterprises (MBE).

Social media press releases made easy :)

Social media press releases (smprs) are quickly replacing traditional press releases and are a quite convenient way to simultaneously pitch a brand's info and a product visually.

This smpr was written for the opening of Vermont Floral Design Canada.

The objective was to establish brand recognition, awareness about the grand opening of the showroom and to attain media coverage.

So far, the best two online tools I've found are PitchEngine and Prezly; together they make the art of smpr a breeze!

PitchEngine simplifies the creation of social media press releases and optimizes their searchability in Google. It also attributes a shortened url to each smpr and makes it easy to share through various social media outlets. It also allows a company of any size to have their own 'newsroom' and to represent their own brand directly..

Simply add the headline, text, images and links and you get a beautiful layout.

PitchEngine is great for creating smpr and putting them on the map but it does nto offer any email campaign services.

Prezly on the other hand, creates simpler visual social media press releases, but is amazing for media email campaigns. Not only does it feature an amazing contact organizer, but it allows you to track your smpr emails to see who has received and opened them, and how many times. Great details for gauging who's interest you captured, to keep in mind for future campaigns!
