Adorable Indie Title Pitfall Planet Lands On The Nintendo Switch This Fall
Publisher Abstraction Games has announced today that the adorable indie game Pitfall Planet, which was developed by Bonfire Studios and originally released on Steam back in 2016, is coming to the Nintendo Switch later this year.

Our whole team is making the deep plunge to San Francisco next week to attend the conference. If you’re attending GDC please drop by the IGF booth and try out our little co-op puzzle adventure game!
We are hoping to release in April on Steam! The game is basically complete, but there’s a lot of little things to tie up and test.
Our game allows for a few different types of input modes. Since our game is strictly multiplayer, we want to be as flexible as possible to work well with most setups.
We were wondering how to present these different modes to the player so that it is clear what modes we support. Does the above setup achieve this? Also, which of the three pictures conveys it best in your opinion?

So, we didn’t get into Indiecade this year, which I can’t help but feel pretty disappointed about. However, the jurors seemed to really enjoy our demo and the reviews were very positive. So that feedback was at least pretty comforting!
I think the one of the main drawbacks was that the game didn’t have a really killer unique feature to set it apart. There also is a lot of fierce competition this year.
The version we sent them was the version from the end of the school semester... and since then we’ve fixed many bugs, polished the UI, and have maybe triple the content. Hopefully our newer build would have impressed them more, since we’ve tried to be creative with our level designs.
Anyway, still working away! If I get a strong push these upcoming months, I could have the game finished soon. I also have some new features coming soon I hope to share with you all :)
