been thinking about how much i relate to the old school transgender and butch sensibilities despite being quite culturally removed from it which got me thinking about the radical cultural shift that i kind of largely associate w tumblr where trans kids are like. a thing that exists in the public consciousness now…i first kind of learned trans men existed (and instantly started obsessively internet searching about it via forums and blog posts) around 2008 and it was still so incomprehensible at the time that there could ever be such thing as an out trans middle schooler or high school, much less many of them as part of a larger conversation…but obviously,a couple years later i was actively a part of the transgender mecca that tumblr has been and at least in my bubble still is…. i feel very much on a transgender generational cusp
