Alright! The simplest thing you can do for binding is to make a poppet and wrap it in black cord or thread. Then knot the thread eight times. Eight numerologically is tied to movement and change and transformation. Each time you tie a knot, with strong intent state that you’re binding their actions over you. If you can, I’d light a black candle and once it’s warmed a big carefully drip some wax onto the string, effectively sealing it. If in your tradition you like to initiate the spell with something like “so mote it be” this would be the time to do so.
As far as the poppet goes, it can be as simple as a photograph of the person or a paper gingerbread person with their name on it. However, I’ve found that the more detail I put into poppets the more power I end up giving them so if i were you I’d try to take some time in making this poppet considering your situation. If you’re craftsy, you can easily make little dolls out of yarn or other things. If you’re someone who likes to draw, make a nice drawing. Heck, if you like to draw, you can bind them through a drawing to be honest. Draw them symbolically or literally bound, pouring your intent into the artwork.
As far as protection goes, considering you’re seeking sovereignty over your life, I’m going to suggest something tied to power and royalty. Make or buy yourself a small sachet bag that’s purple. Or buy a purple bottle or purple crayon or candle to seal a regular bottle with purple wax. Get some yellow thread and sew a sigil for protection on the bag. Yellow is associated with the sun and is good for protection iirc. (Don’t do color magic much...) Grind some frankincense, myrrh, and black pepper together. (These are all for protection but frankincense and myrrh also have beneficial properties for success, cleansing, peace, and exorcism. They also thanks to the whole gifts to the new king Bible stuff have associations with royalty.) But them in the sachet. Tie strings into a knot with intent sealing your will for protection and self-sovereignty. Or if using bottle, put in the bottle, cap, and seal with the wax doing the same. Carry it on you. :>
