i always liked fairy tale retellings that get into the philosophy of it all. the sorta being put into a forced role in a story you cant break out of. you are a character and this is your destiny and even if youre the “bad guy” you cannot escape that. so the way brennan is going about this retelling and the intricacies of it all is really really cool to ponder
