LK's OC January Day 20 - 8-Bit Firey
My last object OC I made a ref sheet for! And oh boy is this one going to need some explaining
OK so once upon a time I was signing up for a camp, but at the time I didn't have too many object characters so I decided to make one real quickly. And I had a bunch of Mario sprites lying around so I grabbed a Lava Bubble sprite, quickly added a face and limbs, and called him 8-Bit Firey. Except the camp I signed up for had its own unique style so he wasn't really pixelated in the camp kind of just messing up the bit but he was still called 8-Bit Firey since he still came FROM an NES and such. Then later on I decided to give him a costume in the camp because I thought it'd be cute and it just kind of stuck as permanently part of his design and I justified it by saying he lost a bet to the version of himself that's actually supposed to live in the universe the camp takes place in and yeah. Also he got shipped with another contestant in that camp (and also was not Leafy) so there's that too. Anyways...
8-Bit comes from some bootleg BFDI game made for the NES. Don't ask who made that or how 8-Bit got out I don't know either
For the most part, he acts like how you'd expect Firey to, though he's a tad more shy and reserved due to the unfamiliar setting and some regrets over the end of BFDI.
Because of some oddities related to palette restrictions, his flame color changes with his current costume!
Being from an NES game, he's got some actual abilities alongside being made of fire, such as shooting fireballs everywhere. His space outfit also grants him the ability to fly!
However his origin also causes him to have a weakness to electricity alongside his weakness to water, causing him to glitch out rapidly. This can also happen briefly if he's caught by surprise
Fireafy is totally canon for this version of him, or at least it was in the past, it's more complicated now. (This version of Leafy is called Pixel Leafy BTW)
