I guess I prefer writing one-shots because they're easier to control and take less time and cause less headaches. But I do also enjoy the greater sense of accomplishment you get from finishing a multichapter fic.

Angst always. I'm actually pretty bad at writing fluff. It always wants to get at least a little bit angsty.
18. Which is more difficult, the title or the summary?
They're both difficult! But I guess titles are more difficult because in the end, the summary is just you explaining your story in a couple of sentences. I have yet to figure out a way to make titles easier to come up with.
Why I like them- I relate to Pearl a lot–especially in that she has interests that she wants to share with people, but she isn’t always great at putting things in a way that other people understand. And we’re both gay nerds who love our friends. Y_Y
Why I don’t- She can be too harsh to people whom she doesn’t understand (I’m glad she’s working on that).

oh gosh is the fandom that intense? i don't get into fandoms much (for reasons like that) BUT yeah i actually thought the appeal of free was how it /didn't/ take itself seriously? that's why i like it i guess. it's so silly and embarrassing that i can't take it seriously either and i love it for that. that 50% off parody of it isn't far from what it really is LOL
AAAAHHHH not the whole fandom, no! I think they just really really love it, which is totally okay. I mean look at us here in Haikyuu, we screamed for a week over Oikawa wearing glasses lol.
I like Free for that reason too, it’s just ridiculous and 50% off is a 100% good reason to watch it just in itself ohmygosh. Like my friend always says, the more ridiculous the anime is, the better the crack that the fandom makes of it is going to be. So yeah for the most part I don’t think they take it THAT seriously, or at least they’ve calmed down a lot, but.... when Eternal Summer was coming out, I was in the tag every week after the new episodes, just amazed, because I was still laughing at it and I guess not taking it seriously at all and... people were pretty intense about it at least at the time. Still a lot of joking of course but also a lot of intensity that just didn’t seem to fit the actual reality of the show. Which you could really point fingers at the writers for that. They take things that are sad but not HORRIBLY sad and treat it like the end of the world and glamorize the shit out of it so it only makes sense that the real fans just eat that up. Tho really all sports anime is that way... Free just seems to have some of the more extreme cases of it. I don’t know I need to shut up haha but I hope this kind of makes sense :D
my beautiful cinnamon roll too good for this world fave: Maya Ibuki, she is actually one of the only characters that is actually too good, she’s had no part in getting herself into this awful situation through being a screwed up person in any way she literally just wants to do science and help people. there are other precious characters but none of them are beautiful-cinnamon-rolls-too-good-for-the-world precious the way little maya is. I could have said shinji for this but I squashed that notion within a nanosecond because a large chunk of the fandom thinks of him this way and I think they’re mostly wrong lol.
my trash-shit fave: I’m gonna say ritsuko, but only because I’M the trash-shit in this equation since I only like ritsuko cause she got a really hot haircut in 3.0 otherwise I’m not overly invested in her >_>

my they’re cute together and I dig them but I’m not all that terribly invested kinda fave ship: I guess… misato and kaji?? idk I love misato but am already kind of meh about kaji, and to be frank I never really “got” their relationship or misato’s explanation of the problems in their relationship, probably in large part because ALL OF IT HAPPENED BEFORE THE STORY and thus offscreen so we were mostly just told about it and only saw the aftermath, and misato’s complex about kaji involves partly using him [sexually] to make herself feel worth and also being ashamed of being sexual at the same time which are two things I don’t personally relate to so I can’t intimately understand her/their conflicts as much as the kids, I feel like this aspect of misato and kaji must be based on an archetype that I have no experience with so I’m just not “in” on it enough to understand, and also this isn’t really an answer to this question anymore is it
