Pixel Project
In honor of Black History month, I will be sharing pieces from my pet project entitled, "The Pixel Project" every day for the next 28 Days. The "Pixel Project" is a graphic design project that aims to showcase heroes that look like me in a fun and interesting way. Think the nostalgia of NES Game Sprites Meets Pop Art." Each day will feature a "Super Hero Sprite, a few factoids, and "essential reading" to find out more about these characters. The renderings may seem a little goofy but, I hope this project will educate others on the history of African American/Black Superheroes, stress the importance of representation, and encouraging people to fight for diversity for all people of color in the media. Because in the end as Milestone Comics believed, there should be "Heroes for Everyone." Please share this post and others throughout the month on your various social media pages with the hashtags, #PXPBHM, #PixelProject, #BlackSuperHeroes, #DCComic,s #Marvel, #Milestone, Milestone Comics, #MilestoneForever, #BlackHistoryMonth, #LaRueProductions so that I can boost awareness as I see this project through. Also, if you have any suggestions on heroes that you would like to see, please leave a comment on the post below or inbox me. I have a pretty decent list but, I am always open to suggestions and interested in learning more about heroes that I may not have known about.
