The weather is sitting around -20 C, which means that my absurdly energy efficient Arctic dog is eating whole meals again. We're up to 3 meals worth of emptying her bowl, which doesn't happen for 80% of the year.

Although she still has an appetite for human food. Gods forbid a human tries to eat pizza in her presence:

Apparently it's entirely unfair that she can't sit on the outside stairs and yell at the whole neighborhood in the middle of the night.

Alright, we've just had a breakthrough, but like... Not a good breakthrough??

Pixie has her nose about 1 inch away from the TV screen, intently watching a cat.

On TV.

She recognises cats on TV now.

Considering the fact that she knows the word cat in like 4 languages and goes ballistic everytime she hears it, this is... Not ideal.

For the time being she's just interested and not yelling though, so that's a good start.

(this is her best 'please let me outside I definitely won't scream at Potato' face)

This might be the single nicest picture I've ever managed to take of Pixie:

She's looking at the camera. She's not moving. She isn't blinking or making weird faces.

She was also very intentionally sitting directly in front of the TV because I told her she's not going outside to bark at the new neighbor cat.

Taking pictures was 50/50 an attempt to get a photo while she sat still/get her to move by pointing a camera at her.

It's the middle of July.

It's 34 C outside.

My malamutt still has most of her undercoat.

Like... Really?? What do you need that for?
