Pteri !
Okay, Interesting-Pteri is never really a species I look at much because I honestly don’t draw them (Dang beaks) But here’s the top five, starting with number 5
5.Christmas Pteri
Clever, it looks like a little robin. Even people who aren’t into the whole Christmas aesthetic but enjoy birds can surely appreciate this lil’ boy. We love when a pet gets colored and they look like a real world animal.
4. Darigain Pteri
Look at this dude. Looket them BROWS. he looks like a villian from a Don Bleuth Film with those brows. He looks ready to burst into song, try and steal my girl and scheme to kill my entire town. and you know his song will be a BOP
3: Faerie Pteri
A classic choice I know, but look at the colors, look at the elgance. I know it’s redundant for an already winged creature be faerie but it’s not about having wings, it’s about that fun spring time pastel LOOK. She looks like she’d be that geniunely nice popular girl who means it when she compliments you about something when you’re in her group that the teacher puts you in.
2: Maraquan Pteri
He’s a PARROT FISH? THATS GREAT. I think that’s hilarious. I love a good chance at something goofy like this. Look at him. Fucking Parrot fish. Love it. Decadent.
And now for number 1, best color of the Pteris in my opinion
1: MUTANT PTERI
BEHOLD A LAD. We love that cockatrice look, that classical basalisk look, the 3rd eye, the boney tail, the rooster dangly does on the eyes. Just -chef kiss- perfect boy. I would welcome him into my roost, because he would protect my hens well. (is that what a female pteri would be called? Hens? there are so many terms for female birds, I think I’ll go with hen.)

I could continue proving to everyone who’s ever lived that I’m better than you in every way, and you’d never be free of me! Never!”
The other duck sighed as his rival cackled maniacally. Then, a long, exasperated sigh left his throat. “Y’know, Flinty, you could just go ahead and say you’re fond of me. We both know it by now.”
Glomgold gasped in disgust. “Fond of you!? I’m not fond of you, McDuck! I’ve never been fond of you! I just don’t want to spend a minute of my life without you there to compete with! How is that me being fond of you?”
Scrooge rolled his eyes.

How I feel about this character: he’s definitely my favorite villain in dt17 because he’s just so fun and ridiculous while also being super interesting. duke baloney was a fantastic episode and he’s really been shining a lot more than usual in season two! i just know they’re gonna do something to make me really love him by the end of this season and i can’t wait to know whatever that isAll the people I ship romantically with this character: just scroogeMy non-romantic OTP for this character: him and zan have the funnest interactions i swearMy unpopular opinion about this character: i like him more than scroogeOne thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon: i would love if they went the pseudo-redemption route with him where he has to help scrooge and the duck family defeat a bigger evil at the end of season two (probably lunaris + the moonlanders) and kinda goes from threatening villain to mostly just a nuisance who they occasionally tolerate
