Fried Pizza takes your regular pizza dough to new heights by frying it in olive oil, resulting in a crispy and golden crust. It's a delightful twist on traditional pizza!
Ingredients: 1 pizza dough ball. 1/2 cup pizza sauce. 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese. 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese. 1/4 cup olive oil. 1/4 cup all-purpose flour. 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano. 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder. 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes optional. Salt and black pepper to taste. Fresh basil leaves for garnish.
Instructions: Roll out the pizza dough into a 12-inch circle on a floured surface. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Carefully transfer the pizza dough to the hot skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes until it starts to puff up and the bottom turns golden brown. Flip the dough and reduce the heat to medium-low. Spread pizza sauce evenly over the crust and sprinkle with mozzarella and Parmesan cheese. Cover the skillet with a lid and cook for an additional 4-5 minutes until the cheese is melted, and the bottom is crispy and golden brown. While cooking, sprinkle with dried oregano, garlic powder, red pepper flakes if using, salt, and black pepper. Once the pizza is cooked to your liking, remove it from the skillet, garnish with fresh basil leaves, and let it cool slightly before slicing and serving. Enjoy your delicious Fried Pizza!
